Door to Door Sales 3/7

The vast majority of my work comes through my work as a door to door salesman. A couple of good things about this method is the connection that I can create with the people who are buying my art. I am able to personally introduce myself to folks that I meet and explain a bit about myself and also answer any questions that they have. If you are spending your money on a piece of art to hang in your home, I think it’s a positive factor to have actually met the artist who painted it. It’s good for me also as a chance to travel and explore parts of the country that I wouldn’t otherwise do. To see the subject matter that I am going to be portraying in person is good as it helps me to get a feel for the place. I think it's important to capture more than just the visual aspect but also to convey the atmosphere of the place through my artwork.

Social media has helped me to connect directly with buyers in a way that was not possible in years gone by. I’ve been able to communicate my story and process in a way that people can see and understand in a short space of time through the various social media platforms.
