It has been great to take my work into local schools, to talk to the children about my business and to teach them new skills in the process. I get the impression that most children don’t get the opportunity to meet local artists or even be aware that there are any artists working in their area. I am increasing the variety of workshops that can be taken into schools and am aiming to develop this aspect of my work throughout the year. Topics that I am currently presenting include Faith, British Values, Art History, Architecture and Art in Sport.
